Privacy

This page describes what Halo Zone collects and why. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

What we collect

If you subscribe to the newsletter

We store your email address, the date and time you subscribed, the exact wording you agreed to, and where on the site you subscribed from. We also store a coarse version of your IP address — the final part is discarded — and the family of your browser (for example “Chrome”), which we keep only to detect automated abuse of the signup form. We do not store your full IP address or your full browser string.

If you just read the site

We count page views and clicks on links to GM Zone. These counts are not tied to you: there is no account, no login, and no cookie that identifies you across visits.

What we do not do

  • We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. There are no external scripts on this site at all.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone.
  • We do not track you across other websites.
  • We do not build a profile of you.

Unsubscribing

Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. It works immediately and needs no account or password. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record that you did so — that record is what stops you being added back by mistake.

If you ask us to stop entirely

If you tell us to stop contacting you, your address is added to a suppression list that cannot be removed. That means the address can never be re-subscribed, even if someone later types it into the signup form.

Your data

To ask what we hold about your email address, or to have it removed, contact us using the address on the contact page.
